The first grown up annual for a rapidly expanding AI drug discovery company. Two days that started weeks earlier online and ended with the entire company rebuilding a fictional engine, together, in a room.

Outgrew
the offsite.
Solve all disease.

Isomorphic Labs are an AI drug discovery company with a very specific mission: solve all disease. Their old offsite had served its purpose but the company was growing fast, and with it the need for something more mature, more ownable, more able to bring hundreds of new colleagues into the same story.

Solving problems is intrinsic to their DNA. So the annual moment needed to be a problem too.

Make the
strategy
playable.

Nobody remembers a strategy they were told. So instead of telling 400 people about mission, progress and future possibility, we built an experience they could play with, solve, and step into.

One wrapper: Iso Live 2026. Three chapters inside it: an online sci-fi ARG in the weeks before, two days of live content and collaboration, and a space themed climax revealing what comes next. Every part expressing how Iso thinks: curiosity, pattern recognition, problem solving, collaboration, experimentation, and making the seemingly impossible possible.

Making the
invisible legible.

Living systems appear complex and chaotic. AI gives us a language and a framework through which their hidden patterns become legible. The stage translated that idea directly: rigid steel grids intertwined with living foliage. Grid as mathematics, structure and AI. Foliage as biology and adaptive living systems. Not harmony. Understanding.

INTO THE ISOVERSE.

Four weekly puzzle drops before anyone arrived at the venue. A sci-fi story, an online escape room, and collaborative problem solving. Colleagues followed Dr Mara Voss through four realities: Time, Force, Scale, Perspective, decoding, calibrating, recovering fragments of a broken engine. On site, those same rules would shape the finale.

Dr Mara Voss // Signal Channel · HUB

"You accessed the reality console... that was the easy part. I have a stable connection for now, so listen up. There's been some kind of breach in reality, I'm stuck in a where and when that's not where and when it should be. I need you to use the Reality Recovery Console to unlock each reality and stabilise each to retrieve fragments of the liminal engine to fix what's gone wrong. It'll all make sense in time... or it did make sense, or will eventually."

Cue card · Testing and initiation sequence. Voss instructs teams to film runs and connect their engine fragment to a neighbouring team's build so the signal can trigger the Liminal Engine chain reaction.
Cue card · Final reveal. Voss's closing transmission explains that the engine is a tesseract, the whole event is loop 359, and reality is now fixed. She signs off with 'Doctor Mara Voss, signing off.'

Rebuild the
Liminal Engine.

The story landed in the room. Every team was given a fragment of the engine to rebuild, using the same four rules from the ARG: Time, Force, Scale, Perspective. A collaborative marble run challenge, physical and loud, that finished the Isoverse narrative the only way it should have finished. With the entire company solving it together.

A MISSION.
A DESIGN SYSTEM.

A separate strand inside Iso Live, styled as scientific mission control. 32 speakers in one fast fluid hour, mapped to Iso's own mission language and dressed as the two-day climax. Its own sub-brand, its own kit of parts, its own tone. Below, a small window into the visual system that ran the whole thing.
